The Communicator Awards is one of the leading international awards programs honoring creative excellence for communications professionals. Founded by communication professionals over a decade ago, it is an annual competition that honors the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and identity work for print, video, interactive and audio. The 2010 award competition received thousands of entries from companies and agencies of all sizes, which makes it one of the largest awards of its kind. 05.24.2010 Blenderbox wins IMA Best in Class Award for the KIPP Schools website
The KIPP Schools Website, under the category 'School', has won the IMA Best in Class Award.
The Best in Class award is the highest honor bestowed by the Interactive Media Awards. It represents the very best in planning, execution and overall professionalism. In order to win this award level, your site had to successfully pass through our comprehensive judging process, achieving very high marks in each of our judging criteria - an achievement only a fraction of sites in the IMA competition earn each year.
About the project: Since their founding in 1994, KIPP has reached prominence as a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public schools with a track record of preparing students in underserved communities for success in college and in life. Hoping for a website that would more effectively communicate a clear and compelling message about the organization to their audience, KIPP engaged Blenderbox to redesign and reorganize their current site. The newly redesigned site is clear and accessible, with compelling imagery and content that complements the KIPP mission.
