User Experience Designer

We're looking to add a UX Designer to our team, someone with a knack for designing delightful experiences that solve important problems for users and clients.

What to Expect

UX Designers at Blenderbox are comfortable working on their own and as a part larger collaborative team. Inside the office, we work closely with visual designers, developers, and project managers at all stages of the project lifecycle. We involve clients and their customers as often as possible, to ensure there's a steady flow of ideas for each project. 

The process of UX Design at Blenderbox is fluid, depending on each client's needs. Interaction design, usability testing, web analytics, requirements gathering, content strategy... these are just a few of the activities we've undertaken on recent projects. We're always looking for new methods and approaches to try, which means UX Designers get lots of opportunities to expand their skillsets.

In addition to being flexible problem solvers, UX Designers at Blenderbox are strong communicators. Not just with clients, but also when we're tossing around design ideas or chatting with developers about how a specific feature should work. Nice to Haves

None of these are a requirement for application, but they definitely help you stand out.

• An advanced degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a similar discipline.
• Experience working in an agency setting.
• Familiarity with user research methods. 
• Experience designing mobile sites or apps.
• Knowledge of programming languages or frameworks.

Blenderbox is an award-winning digital agency based in Brooklyn, NY. We have designed and built online experiences for clients in a variety of industries, from global nonprofits to craft breweries.

We don't believe in cubicles. We work in an open plan office (with a nice view of the Manhattan skyline), we play music from our web-based jukebox (check last.fm to see if it's your taste), we play ping-pong against other agencies (but we're not that good--bonus points if you're good at ping pong), we offer a stocked pantry, and we occasionally brew our own beer on our roof.
