After an intensive discovery phase, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts made a fundamental shift from focusing primarily on educators to focusing on educators, parents, and students offering more structured and modular lesson plans as well as interactive lesson content.

They partnered with Blenderbox to redesign the ARTSEDGE website utilizing a learner-centered approach to arts in education that is distributed via three portals catering to educators, parents, and students.

The Kennedy Center for the Arts is the Arts partner for the Thinkfinity Consortium. The site must cater to multiple audiences and be highly modular in order to accommodate multiple taxonomies and merge multiple levels of information that is contextually relevant to a user. For example, educators may view some of the same content as a kid, however, that content will also include information about state and national standards relevant to lessons and activities that are being used.

The back-end is integrated with Microsoft Technologies utilizing Sharepoint and Sitecore CMS.
